What to expect from my class
Classes are held at my studio located at 128 Hillview Dr., Uniontown, PA, where you’ll learn the art of wood carving in a relaxed, hands-on setting. This beginner-friendly course includes four classes, each lasting two hours. A complete carving kit with all necessary materials is provided, so you can simply show up ready to learn and create. By the end of the course, you’ll leave with your own hand-carved completed project — a piece you can proudly display and say you made yourself!
Another great project completed! Here’s a look at the finished carving created by one of my students from my most recent Beginning Carving Class. It’s always exciting to see how quickly new carvers develop their skills and bring their projects to life with their own personal touch.
I’m currently planning another summer carving class, possibly in mid-July or August. If you’ve ever wanted to learn wood carving, this is a great place to start. Keep watching this page and my website for upcoming class announcements and registration details!

When I carve even something as simple as a leaf, as I cut into the wood and see the leaf appear and then making the leaf appear to be in motion rather than a flat surface has always been encouraging to me. Adding an edging to the leaf or veining in a differ way makes each new carving a new experience. Do any of you have these same feelings when carving?

AuthorCreating something from a block of wood or limb from a tree has always amazed me. The ability to see your vision appear every time I start to carve or work on a specific detail still amazes me as it begins to appear. ArchivesCategories |
