This is a Hand Carved with knives and chisels relief carving. Steam engine with passenger cars. The shelf is painted white. This took approximately 15 hours to carve. The shelf is approximately 24 inches long the carving is approximately 8 inches high. I decided to hand paint this relief carving, not easy to paint a carving however it did come out well and added a lot to the carving.
This was not done by a computer-controlled router, all traditionally hand carved.
